Pitman states his reasons for preferring charges against Col. Brown, who, contrary to Pitman's direct order, failed to muster the Fire Light Infantry Company, 2nd Brigade, for the Fourth of July festivities in Providence in 1856. Brown and AAS only in OCLC.
