Williams won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for A Streetcar Named Desire in 1948 and for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 1955. He is also the author of the acclaimed plays, The Glass Menagerie and The Night of the Iguana - both of which received the New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards, The Rose Tattoo - for which he won the Tony Award for best play, Suddenly Last Summer, Sweet Bird of Youth, Summer and Smoke, and more.
