Several of the plates are double-page and each has an accompanying descriptive text leaf at the verso. Small folio, 14 x 11 inches, publisher's bevelled, dark-green cloth with title blocked in gilt on upper cover. Light wear at the pastedowns, plates clean and bright. A superb example of 19th century American color printing.
