Musical Score : Printed music : Marches 1 score (3 pages). RARE. Early example of sheet music used for advertising, and a great piece of beer brewing history. Red, black and white lithographic cover art with two black and white photos of The Goebel Brewing Company printed rear cover. The Company brewed in Detroit from 1873 to 1964, other than during Prohibition, and its beer was sold until 2005. Born in 1839 in Prussia, August Goebel Sr. fought at Bull Run and rose through the ranks to become Colonel by the end of the war. He died in 1905. OCLC locates only the Library of Michigan with a copy, although online search locates a copy at the Detroit Historical Society.
