(1) Photograph of the dual lynching of John Ruggles and his brother Charles at Redding, California on July 24, 1892. They were hung in tandem from a derrick. This photograph illustrates their fate in a number of web listings. The brothers were stagecoach robbers in northern California. (2) Unidentified Afro-American male hanging from a tree; no location. (3) Formal execution gallows being prepared in what appears to be a tropical setting.
