S. l. (Philadelphia): By the proprietor, 1886. Good. Small broadside; 8 1/2 x 6; illustrated with small woodcuts; old, faint crease lines; two small chips to top edge; text and illustrations printed off-center, towards the left edge; in good to very good condition.A fascinating piece of advertisement, it showcased hairstylist Jacob Eiselstein's leading styles of hair cut, pattented in 1886 and some of them named after streets in Philadelphia, including 'Jakes 13 St Cut' and 'Chestnut St Cut.' Though arguably, the most entertaining was the 'Dude Cut.'The broadside also contained a list of streets in Philly and prices for dry shampoo, moustache dyeing, hair cutting, and shaving with Bay Rum.
