Square, tight and clean throughout with barely a hint of toning. Some off-setting to gutters. Some wear to spine ends, bottom edge and tips. Still solid for a notoriously fragile and cheaply made book. Very attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket, has a chip at the heel and a nicks at the tips. A few short closed tears. Some rubbing. still fresh and bright. A very pretty copy of at a great price. The Readers Library was an imprint of Gerald Duckworth and Company, reprinting classics from between 1910 and 1927, re-launching as the New Readers Library in 1927 and publishing through 1946.
