"This study is limited to the evaluation of the problems connected with the tourist development of Crete and does not consider the development of other sectors of the island's economy, namely, agriculture and industry, nor does it go into the problems of the development of other regions of Greece, except where these may affect Crete. All proposals contained herein, therefore, are made on this basis, and it is anticipated that the actual implementation of the proposals will be formulated in a manner consistent with all other development programs of the island under the jurisdiction of the Regional Development Service of Crete (YPAKI) and coordinated and integrated into the national scheme for the tourist development of Crete as developed by the National Tourist Organization (NTO)."
