Salt Lake City; (1991): Gibbs-Smith Publishing. First Edition. Quarto. Limited edition. No. 38 of 100 copies, signed by Cole Weston on the Title Page. For thirty years after Edward Weston's death, his son Cole continued to turn out prints according to his father's will to be stamped: "Negative Edward Weston, Print by Cole Weston". In the introduction Cole talks about what it was like to be the son of a famous father. While working with his father's black-and-white negatives, his passion was also to capture the rich color in his travels around the world but especially coming back to the American West. He found breathtaking beautiful landscapes often including lovely nudes. He passed away in 2003, receiving many awards especially for his works of Point Lobos. There is an afterword by R.H. Cravens. "Cole Weston's photographs are poetic equivalents to the sensuality of vision itself, through his vision, we are given the opportunity to experience the world as series of serene tableaus"--James L. Enyeart, Director, International Museum of Photograph at George Eastman House. Bound in green cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, small circular stain to upper edge of front board, in a fine unclipped pictorial dust jacket.
