First page signed by Horace Everett, congressman, born in Vermont in 1780; died in Windsor, Vermont, 30 January 1851. He was graduated at Brown in 1797, studied law, and practiced in Windsor. He was a member of the Vermont legislature in 1819-20, 1822-24, and 1834, a prominent member of the State constitutional convention of 1828, and in that year was elected to congress as a Whig, serving from 1829 to 1843.
