Debuting at 15, by age 19 Mary Astor had become a leading lady to some of Hollywood's top male stars, Douglas Fairbanks being her romantic lead in this swashbuckling tale directed by fellow actor Donald Crisp. Her period wardrobe is credited to Paul Burns, who worked on Fairbanks' silent epics.

Photo coded "S.P. 58" and the original attached paper blurb is present on the verso. Impressive early portrait of this beloved Academy Award-winning star who worked in film for 40+ years.
