4to, 86 pp., illustrated with 18 original etchings by Jean Bruller, hand-colored. Original printed wrappers over stiff card. Moderately foxed, backstrip paper with splits, binding cracked, but complete and with the bold illustrations still bright.

§ Copy number XXXIII of XXXV copies on Madagascar paper for La Librairie Champion, with an original sketch in ink and pencil on the front free endpaper, signed by Jean Bruller. The sketch is of a serious-looking man in a tophat and is labeled "Le directeur des Pompesfunebres." An early work by the writer, illustrator, and French resistance fighter, Jean Bruller (1902-1991).
