New York: Hungarian American Council for Democracy, 1946. Newsletter. Two issues of the Bulletin, 4p. each, 8.5x11 inches, very good. Under the leadership of Bela Lugosi, the Hungarian immigrant actor of Dracula fame, the Hungarian American Council for Democracy had opposed the fascist wartime government of Hungary. The Council also pressed the Roosevelt administration to admit Hungarian Jewish refugees. Here, in the months after the war, the Bulletin speaks in supportive terms of steps taken by the new Communist government.
