Sheet measures 13 1/2" x 20 3/4" This lovely map depicts the Principality of Citra in southern Italy, comprising the districts of Salerno, Sala, Bonati, Vallo, and Campagna, including the famed Amalfi Coast. Incredibly detailed, the map identifies important cities, rivers, towns, churches, and roads. Topography is beautifully shaded with hachure marks. The map is in very good condition with some foxing to margins. Original plate mark is visible. This map was engraved by P. Mazoni and issued by G. Mania and V. Stanghi in the 1844 edition of "Atlante Geographia dell'Italia." (Inventory (truncated)
