First edition. 8vo. x, 260pp. Contemporary half morocco, spine in six compartments with raised bands, gilt spine title and gilt rules on the bands; marbled paper boards in the Spanish Marbler pattern. John Jones (1766?-1827) was a Welsh Unitarian Minister and a lexicographer of note. Besides religious tracts, he published a Latin Grammar and two version of the Greek Lexicon as well as a curious retort on the Explanation of the Greek Article (1827). His Greek Grammar approached the subject in a new way and was frequently reprinted. Copies of the first printing are scarce in commerce.
