Inscribed on the end paper "To Mary | with the love of E. B. Hall | Providence | May 21, 1857". (note, the copyright is listed in the name of E. B. Hall, Hall's husband). In addition,this is inscribed: "from C(harlotte) P(erkins) Gilman | to Alice Park | April 1916 | to Harriet Putnam Cramer | Aug - 1916" (probably in the hand of Alice Park? or maybe Gilman?). Note: we have had this book since 1990 (truncated)
