Eleven documents, 1896 - 1902; ten manuscripts on ornate letterheads, one typed letter, signed in manuscript; various sizes and formats; old, fold lines; occasional minor spots and nicks to edges; overall in very good condition. Edward Dwight Welling (1851 - 1928) was a President of the Stark Paper Company, Vice-President of the Bennington County Savings Bank, State Senator, and member of the Republican State Committee. The current documents, all addressed to him and mostly related to politics or business transactions, included correspondence from US Senator and 43rd Governor of Vermont Carroll Smalley Page (1843 - 1925), Associate Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court and US Representative Horace Henry Powers (1835 - 1913), Editor of The Deerfield Valley Times A. C. Niles, and others.
