The uncommon 1926 Notre Dame yearbook, prominently featuring the 1925 football team and its legendary head coach Knute Rockne, here given an adoring full page photographic portrait, which serves as the introduction to the sports section of the yearbook. Notably, there's also a long tribute to George Gipp ("The Gipper", 1895-1920) in a lovely full-page poem and a photograph of Knute Rockne in formation, the ball about to be hiked by the center Babe Ruth. A clean, tight, well-preserved copy to boot. Solid and VG+ in its violet-red leatherette. Small, neat former owner name (truncated) and address (Henry Olbricht, Notre Dame '29) at the front pastedown, otherwise very clean. A nice piece of early 20th century Americana. (Inventory #: 22337)
