Floating Worlds

First printing, large octavo size, 475 pp., inscribed by Cecelia Holland, Cecelia Holland (b. 1943) has written, to date, over twenty historical novels which span both the globe and time. In addition, she has authored a multitude of other fictional series, as well as short stories, children's books, and non-fiction. She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1981-1982.

This work, "Floating Worlds", was her sole piece of science fiction and was published to critical acclaim.

Dust jacket with the original price of $10.95, wrap-around illustration in black and white, summary of book on front flap, author photo and short bio on back flap.

___CONDITION: Volume fine overall, with clean boards, straight corners without rubbing, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and other than the author's inscription entirely free of prior owner markings; exceedingly minor sunning to the top and bottom edges of paper boards, else fine. The dust jacket is not price-clipped and is near fine, clean and with only a light amount of edgewear, with a very light amount of sunning at top and bottom edges.
