Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hannah Marcus located to San Francisco in the late 1980s after graduating college, where she credits seeing a performance by Mark Eitzel's American Music Club as being a primary influence. Marcus formed the band Half Idiot/Half Ocean in 1989, which ranged from a duet with drummer Josh Shifman, to a five piece band including guitarist John Maxwell, as found in the flyer offered here.
