Engraved bookplates of Elizabeth Alsop, and with her ownership signature at the top of the title page dated 1826; and on the rear pastedown the bookplate of Montagu Egerton Loftus. Loftus (1860-1934) was Vice-Consul in Corsica and was a King´s Messenger. Educated at Eton, he was in H. M. Consular Service. Kennedy 6308.
