Carlisle: James C. Mason, 1873. Hardcover. Very Good. Ex-libris Bernard Zufall stamp to CR page, covers clean, binding solid. Full brown cloth boards with gilt lettering & black decoration, including Masonic compass, 6-3/4" x 4-1/4", 116 pp + publisher's ads. I believe this is designed to accompany Crowther's "Memory: Or, a System of Mnemonics" because there's not an obvious explanation of the mnemoics. For example, 1290 the Jews were banished from England, and the mnemonic is "Banish Primitive Religion." There are Knight's Templar & Freemasonry symbols by relevant entries.
