1841 Commercial Note Sent By Saloman Rothchild, The Patriarch Of The Austrian Branch Of The Rothchild Family

  • SIGNED
By SALOMON ROTHSCHILD
SALOMON MAYER FREIHERR VON ROTHSCHILD (1774-1855). Rothschild was a Frankfurt-born banker sent to Vienna in the Austrian Empire to expand his familys banking business. AD. 1 pg. 4 x 10. October 20, 1841. Vienna. An autographed document signed Sigm. De Rothschild with a secretarial autograph. The document is a 1,000 commercial note belonging to Venetian merchant Jacob Levi Figli. Given the Austrian signatory and Italian banking note, this document is an interesting view of international finance in 19th century Europe. The note is in Italian and in excellent condition. Included is a description that incorrectly gives the date as 1853.
