Charlotte and Concord, North Carolina: n/a, 1960. Scrapbook. Good. Scrapbook. String tied binding. Approximately 13" x 12". [33] pages. Some closed tears to the fragile paper. No loss of contents. Light occasional stains to the paper inside. Binding is stable and generally in good condition.

Scrapbook is illustrated with pasted down "Conservation Plan Map" for Farmer Russell C. Graef [address] 242 Colonial Ave. Charlotte, N.C. On Hwy. 200, At St. Martin's Church. 115 Acres...etc. on the verso of the front cover. Scrapbook contains 31 large black and white pictures, measuring 8" x 10" taken by Graef (name printed in blue on back sides) with (truncated) several aerial shots of the property; some tractors plowing and clearing the land for the farm; out buildings on the land including one from the early 1800's; a water spring on the farm; Raymond Linker house, and more. Some of the pictures are partially loose. Typed, cut out paper descriptions of the views are taped down below the pictures with some also coming loose. Last page in the scrapbook has a couple of news clippings showing the unfortunate aftermath of a fire to an Raymond Linker's house pictured earlier in the scrap book.

Last page written in hand reads, "...And this is the history of our old farm where we had fun clearing the Land. Got hurt a lot, broke bones, got poison ivy, rescued 3 dear. found a baby bear. Many picnics. finally sold the farm at a huge loss. So it goes. Rusty & Doris (Inventory #: 29795)
