A 1950 sex education manual "Written for the Layman", i.e. the general public, from the point of view of physicians wishing to dispel harmful sex myths. Covers a wide range of topics, including: male and female reproductive anatomy; intercourse, including different sex positions and using condoms; orgasm and the importance of the clitoris for female pleasure; "frigidity" in women; sex hygiene; fertility and sterility; birth control; pregnancy; and masturbation. Also includes a chapter on "sex anomalies and oddities" which in this publication include pain in sex, nymphomania, and rape. Describes nymphomaniacs as women suffering from a nervous disorder who "beg to be castrated" or "commit suicide" as a "cure" for the condition is elusive (pp. 61-2).
