Teriade Editeur, Paris, 1959.Portfolio with 29 color lithographs by Fernand Leger depicting life and people in Paris. It is printed on Arches paper, with the title page, text and justification page. It is limited to just 180 copies, of which this is N. 54, and contained in the original beige cloth box. Leger conceived the project to illustrate the city from which he found its inspiration, Paris, beginning to work on the project in 1954. Leger passed before the project could be completed, leaving behind many of the wonderful plates he planned to use in his monumental project. The lithographic project started by Leger was completed by Fernand Mourlot in collaboration with Madame Nadia Leger, in the result of a portfolio with 29 lithographs all stamped F. Leger and numbered to 180. Sheet sizes 65.8 x 50.5 cm. Ref Saphire pp. 238‑239, 286‑287.
