Interpretation of Schizophrenia

- New York: Robert Brunner, 1955
New York: Robert Brunner, 1955. First Edition. Very Good+/Very Good. First edition, first printing. Signed by Silvano Arieti and inscribed to a former owner on front free endpaper. Bound in publisher's original light blue cloth lettered in darker blue. Very Good+ with light toning to edges and offsetting from an old-style asphaltic dust jacket protector to bottom of boards and end sheets, tape ghost to end sheets. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with toning to spine panel, a horizontal strip of browning across the entirety; several unnecessary tape reinforcements to the blindside. The second edition of Arieti's pioneering textbook won a National Book Award in the Science category, arguing for a psychological rather than biological basis for schizophrenia. Uncommon signed.
