Los Angeles: Los Angeles High School, 1938. Hardcover. Very good. Signed and dated by Ray Bradbury on page 105, above his portrait alongside the rest of the "L.A. Players" drama club. It was while attending Los Angeles High School that Bradbury (1920-2012) develeped a deep fascination with the concepts of space and time travel, thanks in part to English teacher Jennet Johnson, who is also pictured within this yearbook. In a touching remembrance of Johnson written in 1979, Bradbury recalled, "The list of authors she introduced me to is long and wondrous, including many fine women whose work very much influenced mine as the years passed." In 2016, Los (truncated) Angeles High School unveiled a mural honoring the revered science fiction writer, who graduated with the Summer 1938 class.
