Marco Breuer: Early Recordings

By BREUER, Marco
New York: Aperture, 2007. First edition, first printing, special proof copy. 13.25 x 10 inches. Color reproductions of Breuer's camera-less photography. Original boards; clamshell box. Signed and numbered P/P (?) on the colophon, with a Polaroid print laid-in. This is possibly a printer's proof copy in a pictorial folding clamshell box: someone, presumably Breuer himself, has abraded all of the text off of the front cover and spine of the book (as in other known copies), and some of the text in Mark Alice Durant's essay has been crossed out in black felt-tip pen. Aperture issued a special box set (in this clamshell case with a Polaroid) in an edition of 25 copies. The inscription on the colophon, and the unique treatment of the covers and text implies that this copy is outside of that limitation of 25 copies.
