New York: Victor Koechl & Co., 1910. Very good. First edition, n. d. (ca 1910); 6 1/2 x 4; pp. 1-23; off-white wraps, printed and ruled in red and black and tied with a decorative string; textured, semi-transparent-paper dust jacket; a bit of age-toning and a small cut to top edge of DJ; faint outline of an erased manuscript note and the stamp of a pharmaceutical company to front panel; several additional prices penciled-in in manuscript; in very good condition.Victor Koechl was a German-American businessman and owner of Victor Koechl and Company, which imported and distributed dyes, as well as medical and surgical instruments and supplies. At the time, he was also the sole agent for the toxins, anti-toxins, and serums of Farbwerke, formerly Meister Lucius and Bruening in Germany. The booklet listed the available substances, with prices, and described each one of them, with their preparations, applications, etc. Some of them included Tuberculin "Koch" (discovered by German microbiologist and one of the founders of modern bacteriology Robert Koch in 1890), Diphteria Antitoxin "Behring," Meningococcus Serum "Hoechst," and others. Apparently unrecorded, with no copies in OCLC and in the trade.
