Based on the 1973 novel "The Man Who Would be Guilty" by Henrik Stangerup. A man murders his wife in a fit of passion, only to discover that he is unable to get the dystopian state to punish him for the crime. The novel was later adapted in Denmark, under the title "Manden der ville vaere skyldig" (1990).
