New Haven: Yale University Press, 1915. 1st and presumably only edition. Fair. 8 plates, of somewhat varying dimensions, tipped in along top to uniform backing sheets. 37 cm. Ex lib. (Phillips Andover with "withdrawn" stamp). Original tissue guards present for six plates. Backing sheet show modest wear but the plates seem unaffected. Backstrip portion of portfolio cover chipped and split with no visible efforts at repair. Portfolio ties gone. "Of this series, one hundred and fifty sets have been made of which this is No. 16." Limitation plate SIGNED by Luqiens and by EBH for Yale University Press. Titles of the plates: Phelps Gateway; Battell Chapel; Old Library; Vanderbilt Gateway; Connecticut Hall; Berkeley Oval; Vanderbilt Shelf; and Osborn Gateway. Luqiens, a Yale Graduate, went to Hawaii in 1917 where he eventually became the first teacher of art at the University of Hawaii and emained in Hawaii for the rest of his life.
