Comprised largely of advertisements for local businesses, it provides a valuable snapshot into the area's local commerce at this time, and the businesses essential to its economy and identity. Includes a two-page spread map of the town, which spans the banks of the Kentucky River. First leaf includes illustration of the Capitol building, a panorama photo of the city, and several selling points/draws (truncated) (e.g. 3,500,000 lbs of tobacco grown in Franklin County annually, paved streets, and the main industries: furniture, concrete, lumber, quarries.
