Williamsport, Pennsylvania: E. Andrews, Saw Manufacturer, 1876. Very good. Toning, discoloration from previous adhesive to verso. Most likely trimmed from advertising bifolium and thus missing final leaf.. Illustrated advertisement for E. Andrews, Saw Manufacturer, with an illustration of "The Old Anvil as it appeared at the Centennial Exhibition at Philadelphia in 1876". The "Old Anvil" was "the first Saw Makers' Anvil brought to this Country. It has been used and owned by an Andrews for over seventy years, and was brought from London in year 1819, by Wm. Andrews, Uncle of the present owner". A fun bit of local history displayed at the 1876 Centennial Exposition. Single leaf measuring approx. 7.5" by 4.25", hand saw advertisement on verso, most likely trimmed from advertising bifolium and thus missing final leaf.
