Richard Wagener, master print maker and wood engraver from California, produced a set of 31 images for the 2013 publication, The Sierra Nevada Suite, by the Book Club of California. To celebrate the publication, the Archetype press at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena hosted a talk and printing party with Wagener on December 2nd of 2013. These two prints, made directly from Wagener's blocks and signed, are in a smaller format than the final 4to publication. They are from the same block, with one containing rust-colored lettering. A nice set.
