This anthology of Chicano literary criticism acts as a contextual guide to Chicano writers and poets during the height of the Chicano literary and Chicano power movement. The categories are divided into chapters such as; poetry, novel, short fiction, theatre, anthology, literary criticism, oral tradition in print, journal, and literatura chicanesca. Authors include major Chicano literary movement writers such as Alurista, Abelardo Delgado, Angela de Hoyos, Rudolfo A. Anaya, and Oscar Zeta Acosta amidst many lesser known writers. The two scholars provide a comprehensive guide to the development of Chicano writings, many of which became highly regarded and awarded works. Minor edge wear and minor damp stain to fore-edge that affects pages but is very light and doesn't affect clarity. Overall very good condition.
