Tagline reads: "Serving the Human Rights Community Since 1973." This issue focuses on homosexuals in the military and their treatment, including a profile on Leonard Matlovich, an American Vietnam War veteran, race relations instructor, and recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star who was the first gay service member to purposely out himself to the military to fight their ban on gays, becoming a national figure for the LGBTQ community in the 1970s. Also included is a profile on Rev. Jeri Ann Harvey of the Metropolitan Community Church who frequently spoke in favor of the gay community and advocated for gay rights in religion. Also features an interview with the first ever winner of the Miss Gay USA pageant, Miss Naomi Simms. Contributing writers and critics include: Harvey Milk, Harold Fairbanks,Don Amador and Jeanne Barney. Minor wear around edges, but overall, newspaper remains in very good condition.
