A near fine copy. Ornament on title page. With two chapters on books; "The 100 Worst Books" and "The Convention of Books" in which a librarian falls asleep at a convention and finds himself at a convention of books, which speak and read papers. The typography is by the notable American book designer Bruce Rogers (1870-1957), who "was appreciated in his lifetime. In addition to several honorary degrees, in 1948 he was awarded a gold medal from the American Academy of Arts (truncated)
