Bound in original pink wrapper, (worn, esp. along the spine, and a bit wrinkled.) The contents are untrimmed, with curling to the deckled edges. Light staining to a few leaves. The folding table is in fine condition, with a few tiny splits at the folds. Published in 1801, early in the French Republic, the book includes contains prognostic tables for future use, naturally (1802-1809.)
The table, printed on both sides, is to be used for interpreting dreams and visions to forecast future events... and predicting the results of lotteries.
The first section contains a set of divination techniques -using information from dreams and visions in combination with the name and birth date of the inquirer. The results our found using the folding plate and the manual's tables.
The second section of the manual is entirely dedicated to the lottery. It describes systems for predicting what numbers will be drawn using the divination and interpretation of signs, with the assistance of the booklet of tables. In the last part of the volume, we find the tables for the lotteries of Paris, Brussels, Lyon, Strasbourg, and Bordeaux. (Inventory #: 5029)
