St. Louis: The Antikamnia Chemical Company, 1899. The St. Louis pharmacist and physician Louis Crusius was an artist by avocation who created gruesomely humorous medical caricatures for display in the family drugstore. He sold designs to the Antikamnia Chemical Company, a maker of patent medicines, which published them in a series of 5 advertising calendars which were distributed as holiday keepsakes between 1897 and 1901. All are now rare with OCLC listing copies at SUNY Buffalo, Delaware and Brown. In fine condition.
