Interior contents in good condition. This copy is inscribed by the previous owner Major Peter Valentine Hagner top of the front cover.

Register includes General Officers; Quartermaster's Department; Subsistence Department; Medical Department; Pay Department; Corps of Engineers; Corps of Topographical Engineers; Ordinance Department; Military Storekeepers; Dragoons; Cavalry Regiments; Mounted Riflemen; Artillery and Infantry Regiments and more. First two Generals listed are Major General Winfield Scott and future President Zachary Taylor. Major Peter Valentine Hagner graduated from West Point in 1836. He enlisted in the Army in 1851 as a Captain. He was promoted to Major in 1861.
