"This is the only known Boston edition of Ames for 1770, and presumably the one advertised in the Boston Evening Post, Dec. 4, 1769..." NAIP. New London, Hartford, Portsmouth, and New Haven printings also issued. It has a Table of roads and distances from Boston, "with the most noted Houses of Entertainment on the Roads." A 2 1/2 page 'Essay on Physick' is featured, on the "important art of preserving health" in a "degenerate age." It makes reference "to the training available at the Pennsylvania (truncated)
