Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. No binding. Fine. [Los Angeles]: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, [1941]. Vintage original 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white double weight glossy silver gelatin photo. Fine. Lana Turner and Clark Gable were paired for the first of 4 times for this Western melodrama. MGM wanted to pair Gable with a new blonde after Jean Harlow's passing. Wife Carole Lombard was a bit concerned about her husband working with the reputed maneater, but when she met the very frightened Lana she knew she had little to worry about. Gable and Turner were passionate in front of the camera, though. Printed blurb on verso and ink stamp of MGM photographer Clarence Bull is also present.
