Moderate bumping to corners and moderate wear to joints; light rubbing to edges of boards and to head and tail of spine. Name of "Charlotte Austin" in gilt lettering to front board. All edges of text block gilt. Several ownership inscriptions to third front free endpaper and recto of engraved frontispiece; previous owners include Charlot Twisleton (1731), Charlotte Austin (1804), and John Fiennes Twisleton Crampton (1839).
