Hamburg, Pennsylvania: Hamburg Broom Works, 1912. Wraps. Very good. Illustrated trade catalogue featuring various types of brooms with notes on their specifications and proper use. Models include the Eclipse (The Finest of the "Silk Ribbon Brooms") and the Model Garage, designed for use on all kinds of cement floors, as well as whisks and toys. There are also two brooms with names that speak to America's racist past: "Topsy" and "Uncle Tom". Established in 1894, the Hamburg Broom Company produced 6,000 corn brooms per day at the time of publication. The company continued in the 21st century as Hamburg Industries, Inc. with a product line that included (truncated) mops, brushes, and upright brooms.
