A very desirable publication published to mark the opening of the 8th "underground line," from the centre of Paris to Port de Picpus & Charenton, with which one could also reach the 1931 Expo Coloniale Internationale. Background information on the history of the Paris Metro, illustrated with fine photographs of the work in progress, stations, coaches, etc. A stunning piece of bookmaking, from the binding to the elaborate colour charts and illustrations. Rare, especially with the fragile binding in such fine condition. Not listed on OCLC.
