An interesting piece of nineteenth-century colour printing, dealing with colour printing by the steam press. The author maintains that colour work produced on the steam press need not be in the least inferior to that printed on the hand-press, and by way of illustration, he appends forty-eight plates of examples which have been entirely executed on the machine. A rare book with OCLC listing only the copy at Columbia in the U.S.
