Barnum of American socialism," was an active socialist who made his money in real estate speculation in Southern California (Wilshire Boulevard is named after him). He was a close friend of Upton Sinclair (in fact he converted Sinclair to socialism), Jack London, Emma Goldman and many others. (Inventory #: 2357)
