[Salt Lake City], 1986. Pen and ink drawing [23 cm x 30 cm] / [9" x 12"] on sketch paper that has been matted. Ink drawing of the south facade of the since demolished Ambassador Club, (now the site of the Oasis Cafe and Golden Braid) that accompanied the Goodman article 'Ambassador Club building holds fascinating place in Utah history' from the Salt Lake Tribune (1/19/86) by Jack Goodman (1913-2003), the longtime author of the weekly column "City View" in the Salt Lake Tribune. This image and article also appearrs in the Goodman compilation 'As You Pass By' (pp.94-96).
"The Ambassador blueprinted a building that looks to me, at least, rather like an old-fashioned Army hospital or the Carlisle Indian School back in Pennsylvania. In any event, the old building functioned in its several roles, although it seems unlikely it will achieve the century mark.
