[New York]: Anson, 1859. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Sixth plate daguerreotype. Image size approximately 3" x 3.5". Matted with preserver in original embossed leather case which lacks the front half of the case. Name of the photographer, "Anson", and address "588 Broadway" embossed on the mat. Unexamined out of the case, but likely professionally cleaned and perhaps resealed, a light spot on the left hand side, a thin line of tarnish along the inside of the oval mat, else near fine. The remaining half of the case is modestly rubbed with original metal clasp present. Old note penciled on cardboard: "Jennie Martin. Age 16. 1859." A helpful former owner (truncated)
